OSCA Editorial OSC Avs Pass Thru Header

On April 1st, a new update will be released for your OSCA cable. This update introduces multiple LED status colours and improved audible alerts, making it easier for you to understand the current status of your session at a glance.

From this release onwards, the cable will visually communicate the progress of your ticket using the following LED indicators:

LED Status Colours

🟢 Flashing green: Powered on (existing)

🔵 Solid blue: Updating (existing)

🟣 Solid purple: Ticket in progress (new)

🔴 Solid red: Ticket cancelled (new)

🟢 Solid green: Ticket completed (new)

🟠 Flashing orange: Action required (new)

Note: The "action required" status is triggered when input from the workshop is needed to proceed.

Improved "Action Required" Sound Alerts

When the LED flashes orange, it means your attention is required. The remote diagnostics operator needs your input before the session can continue.

To ensure you don’t miss these moments, the OSCA cable will play an alert sound that repeats every 30 seconds until the required action is taken.

You can stop the sound by:

  • Pressing the back button on the OSCA cable, or
  • Responding in the chat so the session can continue.

The Benefits

This update is designed to help workshop professionals:

  • Immediately recognise the status of their session.
  • Continue working on other tasks without constantly checking a screen.
  • React faster when their input is required, reducing total downtime.

IMPORTANT: UPDATE LIVE ON APRIL 1ST. This update will go live automatically on April 1st, 2026. No manual download is required; your cable will update the next time it is powered on and connected.
